There are also really great HipHop classes, and the Broadway class, which incorporates dancing, singing, and acting is the highlight of both of my kids’ weeks. “Nunnbetter Dance Theatre offers NYC training without having to travel to New York. I moved my daughter to this school after realizing she was not getting strong ballet techniques at the school she had been going to. Having trained at the School of American Ballet for 6 years, I recognized excellent ballet training when I first observed their classes. Many people do not realize that to be any kind of dancer, you must have strong ballet technique. I spent 8 years as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall. My strong ballet training supported my ability to perform all other modalities of dance. Nunnbetter Dance Theatre has strong ballet, but they also offer excellent classes in all the other dance forms as well. They have a pre-professional program that offers them opportunities to perform in their annual “The Nutcracker” production as well as many other opportunities throughout the year. Or, if you just want to learn to dance for fun, they offer classes for this as well. Lastly, my daughter has learned many lessons that will serve her well in life, regardless of what career she decides to pursue. She has developed a strong work ethic and has great time management skills. The atmosphere at this studio is one of inclusion, acceptance, fairness, and fun.”

“Nunnbetter is an excellent dance school. There is a wonderful balance of focus/disciplined classes and a fun/nurturing environment. My kids have been to other studios, but Nunnbetter is where they have progressed the most. The emphasis on ballet and proper technique has helped my son advance tremendously just within the first year he was there. They also have great hip hop classes, and the Broadway class is the highlight of my dancer’s week.
